Pat Planet

Bio

Pat Planet is a multi-faceted choreographer, teacher, and dancer whose movement style is anchored in Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Martial Arts. A New York City native, Pat has trained extensively at the Broadway Dance Center and the Alvin Ailey School of Dance. Pat has choreographed and danced for the NBA and NFL through his time as a Boston Celtics Dancer. If you’re not finding him at TD Garden, you can catch him working with artists like Britney Spears or on the big screen in movies like I Wanna Dance With Somebody. He has been on tour and danced internationally. Pat’s passionate about working with dancers and helping them develop and thrive holistically. Outside of teaching open classes in the Boston area, he has worked as a professor at Endicott College, Smith College, and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Pat’s dream is to make Boston the new dance hub of America.  

Fun Fact: Pat is a lawyer, but left his legal career behind to pursue dance.

Class Description

NBA Prostyle: (Adv. Beginner) Want to train like an NBA dancer? Then this class is for you. Class begins with a thorough warmup including isolations, grooves, and stretches. Afterwards we learn a combination, grab our Poms, and hit the floor like we're performing on the parquet of your favorite NBA basketball court. 

Street Jazz: (Adv. Beginner) This class covers a large scope of commercial dance. Pat has developed a unique Street Jazz genre that pulls from his training primarily in Hip-hop and Jazz. Class begins with a thorough warmup with isolations, grooves, and stretches. Then a combination is taught and broken down before ample time is left to execute and perform the choreography.
